"My Gal Sal" Update

It's been a long hot summer, but I am glad to report the restoration team is back to work.  Over the summer months we had a number of visitors.  The 390th and 2nd Bomb Groups had their reunions in Cincinnati and they both came out to visit "Sal".  What a great group of people.  For me personally, meeting the WWII veterans is the best part of this whole project.  I know a lot of folks have been waiting for the website to be active, but with over 90% of the restoration complete, there won't be a lot of exciting new pictures.  The remaining 10% is a lot of detail work and it's all on the inside.  We are now working on the camera bay, rigging the control cables, and finishing up the interior lighting.  We haven't started the antenna system yet and we are just having to "tweak" a lot of things.  We will put photos on the website as we complete the remaining details.
