Over the years since the end of World War II, many stories have been told about pilots and their crews and their attempts to deliver aircraft over long distances, through strange countries, in every imaginable weather condition to their destinations. Stories of their unbelievable experiences are slowly disappearing into obscurity over the years. Their stories should be preserved to pass along to our children, and they, on to their children. As in many instances, after hearing such stories, it would also lead one to believe that truth is stranger than fiction. One such story is the B-17E Flying Fortress bomber "My Gal Sal" salvaged from the icecap of Greenland in August 1995, and now being reconstructed at the Blue Ash Airport located in Cincinnati, Ohio.
