In July 1999 we went to Greenland in search of a B-17E named "Sooner" and a B-17G that was so new its crew hadn't had time to give it a name.  Our goal was to bring home at least one of these pieces of history.  We found a few pieces of "Sooner" and have a good idea where the G-model is.   Due to weather, we had to cut our trip short, but we are planning to return in July of 2001.

During the expedition we were sending pictures back to our web page www.ultimateproject.com.  Since all of this is related to the "Ultimate Sacrifice Memorial" we have decided to roll the two web sites into one.  At some point in the future we plan to do a documentary on the expedition and the Memorial.

I hope you find it as interesting as we found it being there.
