Those of you that have been following our project may have noticed a little time has passed since our last update. Since I have been the primary author and a part of the team that could only stay in Greenland for a week, the updates have had to wait until I could get back to my office and then hear from the remaining team members still in Greenland via telephone. This being the case, the updates may not be as numerous but we will attempt to pass on what information we get as soon as we get it. On Friday the 30th, those of us that had to leave sailed back to Narsarsauq for the airport. The day broke clear and sunny and promised some of the best weather yet for the searchers who remained. Friday, Saturday and Sunday were spent finishing the sonar search patterns we had previously established. Monday has been designated as the day to go back and search two area of SONAR returns using the old fashion techniques provided by the divers, (look , touch and feel!) We expect to move on to the second airplane search during the middle of this week if nothing more is turned up at the Sooner site. More information on the second airplane will follow..........................
