Time 11:10 Local Geenland time
Location Aboard the Kissavik, tied to the Ocean Wrestler
The day started at early with high hopes of making a discovery quickly. The good news
is that we have done a great deal of work today eliminating possible locations. Needless
to say, we have not yet found the Sooner. Paul Blaida assists us with his recollections of
the area to try and pin point the search areas.
The crew then deploys the side scan sonar we
all affectionately call the "Fish". Anarea is searched, nothing is found and we
are back to the maps to consider the next search box parameters.
This has been our day from 7am to 10:30pm. We are not
discouraged, and have 3 areas planned to cover tomorrow. The main challenge has been the
ice, and the local native folklore that has directed to several areas that have turned up
nothing. Tomorrow we concentrate on Paul's memory after locating an abandoned church that
he remembers visiting after the crash. Everyone is safe and expects that success is just
around the corner. More to follow...................
